Café Momentum

Café Momentum, a Dallas-based restaurant and culinary training facility, transforms young people’s lives by providing a positive environment in which at-risk youth who have spent time in juvenile facilities receive intensive culinary, job and life-skill training, as well as continued mentorship and support, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

The artistic interns of Café Momentum took the reigns on designing their piece, "Reaching for the Stars." They pulled their own ribbons and created a blown or solid touchstone to symbolize their new path toward success. After pulling their glass pieces, the interns arranged it in the kiln based on their design before it was assembled on the burnt wood.
